Soft Tissue Therapy
Therapeutic Massage: We have licensed massage therapists on staff. This allows for easy coordination of care between doctor and therapist. If there is a question about treatment it can quickly be handled. Our emphasis is therapeutic massage aimed at normalizing muscle tone and function. This usually involves some degree of deep pressure and associated tenderness. Therapists are mindful of your comfort and appreciate your feedback.
There are many variations or techniques of therapeutic massage. General terms are:

Soft tissue therapy not only is a good compliment to chiropractic care for neck and back injuries but can be very effective for other joint problems. Many shoulder problems that are thought to be bursitis, tendonitis or rotator cuff tears really stem from imbalances of the shoulder muscles. The shoulder joint has such a large range of motion that its stability and smooth, painfree movement is dependent on proper muscle tone and coordination.
Hip and knee pain are often due in whole or part by tightness of surrounding muscles. Pain coming from tendons running over the joint can be confused for pain coming from the joint.
